I love this image.It evokes William Christenberry's images of the Deep South for me,but more importantly it is just the kind of place I might stumble across walking Bermuda's 'Tribe Roads'.I hear Bermudian spoken from within the shack as I look at it.
There is also a nice play between a documented reality and a soft almost impressionistic tone.More of that shimmering heat I refer to in Summer's painting for April.Clearly weather is a tangible atmospheric presence on the islands.

Thank you for the kind remarks. This is actually a digitally altered/enhanced photograph (hopefully done to artistic effect). I'm glad it made a positive impression and evoked a strong sense of "place". We more generously called this a "cottage", though "shack" is probably a more accurate description.
